These Terms of Use govern your use of RouteAbout ("the app"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information at registration and to keep it current.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Upload or store content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.
Attempt to access another user's data or disrupt the service.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the app.
Use the app in a way that could damage, overload, or impair the service.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of the notes and photos you create. By saving them, you grant the app a license to store, display, and sync that content to your account so the app can function. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information you enter.

4. Device Permissions

Certain features require device permissions (location, camera, photos). Granting these permissions is optional and can be managed in your device settings. The app will not access these capabilities beyond what is needed for the feature you are using. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Service Availability

We strive to keep the app reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Address notes, proximity alerts, and location features are aids for your convenience; you remain responsible for safe driving and following applicable laws. Do not interact with the app while driving.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RouteAbout and its providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data arising from your use of the app.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your account and its associated notes and cannot be undone.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
